The Vietnamese women's team at the helm of Chung has reaped glories, culminating in winning a ticket to the World Women's Football Championship 2023.

As his contract is renewed, coach Mai Duc Chung will continue to lead the Vietnam Women's Team at next year’s World Cup’s final scheduled for July 20 to August 20, in Australia and New Zealand.

He told the contract signing ceremony on Monday that “This task I think is tough for me and for the national women's football team, because 2023 will be a busy year for the team. Many countries have started to invest heavily in women's football. To prepare for next year, I propose the Vietnam Football Federation to focus on training in two weeks on football skills and handling technique for young athletes of all clubs to be qualified for the national team.”
